Event Details

You are cordially invited to attend the grand re-opening of Trethewey House. Trethewey House is situated at the heart of Abbotsford, in Mill lake park. The craftsman bungalow is a Sears and Roebuck “Valoonia”built by lumber baron J.O Trethewey and his wife Reta in 1919. The house is operated by Heritage Abbotsford Society, a charitable society whose mission is to collect, record, preserve and share the stories of Abbotsford.

In 2022, the house suffered damage after a climate emergency, and as a result, has been closed to the public. After having gone through the process of restoration and repair, we are exited to invite you to come to the grand re-opening of the house!

Please join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30. We will provide light refreshments and you will be able to view the newly restored house
